  • Drive to the Base Camp Monastery

TIBET/KAILASH

  • We will be departing for Lhasa from Chengdu on May 28th. We recommend you arrive earlier to recover from jetlag and be ready to travel to Lhasa with the group May 28th.

  • Samye Monastery + Samye Chimphu

    We will be celebrating the Buddha’s birthday at Samye Monastery and the yogi caves above the monastery at Samye Chimphu.

    We will also be acclimatizing here at 11, 745 feet for three days.

  • We will stop by Drak Yongzul, the sacred meditation cave of Padma Sambhava and Yeshe Tsogyel en route to Lhasa.

    We will acclimatize in Lhasa at 11,995 ft and visit the Jokhang.

  • We will visit Shigatse enroute to Kailash

  • We begin the 3 day Kailash Kora which goes from 17,000 ft to 18,400 ft

  • We will end the Kailash Trek at Lake Manasarovar

  • We will make our way back to Lhasa through Saga and Shigatse.

  • We will end our tour with 3 days in Lhasa to enjoy shopping in the Barkhor, visiting the Potala Palace, and enjoying Yak Yogurt twice a day.

  • Return to Chengdu

SONGPAN

  • Dragon Orientation

    Phenomenal Museum in Chengdu, visiting the Chengdu Museum and ancient sites.

    Arrive June 14th or earlier to rest up from your flight. The group will be returning from Lhasa on June 14th

  • We will take the high speed train to Songpan in the morning.
